ABOUT OMANICRICKET

omanicricket.com started in 2006 after i realised that there was no such website or media that existed in Oman or anywhere else. At the time, I was studying in United Kingdom and was a keen follower of cricket scores about the Oman National Team and club teams plying their trade in Oman. My only source of information then were the Omani newspapers that would give a short summary of scores etc. Hence i decided there and then that I would create a website that would address the problem of branching out news of Omani cricket to the world.

The website was setup to provide informative details about cricket in Oman and to the world. The main idea was To promote Omani brand of cricket to the locals and to the world through the website.

The website has since grown and has almost 100 views per day. The website is a proud owner of the Oman Web Awards for the years 2006 and 2007 (Sports Category) and will be gunning for more in the coming years, specially after moving to a new and improved design and eye-catching, informative website.
